Having to judge a contractor, was charged with negligently causing injury to an accident at work that an employee had caused the loss of a finger due to the absence of a pusher in support of a circular saw, the court justifies its doubts about existence of a causal relationship between the failure of the entrepreneur and the incident in this form:

Il giudice sorvola serenamente sul fatto che, comunque, la lesione (cioè il taglio del dito) c'è stata e non verifica se, per esempio, in quel particolare laboratorio di falegnameria non ci fosse alcuno spingitoio, nè appositamente destinato all'uopo, nè altrimenti utilizzabile da precedenti lavorazioni. E assolve l'imprenditore.
