Cad Images Of Sandrails
Activities' health in the territory have always been the prerogative of the Mayo- Mwana Project since its inception. Indeed, I believe that everyone should be entitled to health, the right to be assisted by competent staff in the disease and the right to be treated with proper medication. Unfortunately, in developing countries, the difficulties 'economic problems related to socio-political, involving the denial to the most' fundamental human rights such as health, food, education and jobs.

currently in Zambia we 'can do an MRI or a CT scan, an endoscopic examination must go to the capital, Lusaka, which is 400 km from Ndola! The cost? A gastroscopy costs the equivalent of 150-200 euro: the practically non-if anyone could help ... 74% of the population live on less than € 2 a day! The health service, among other things, not 'free even in hospitals and public health centers. The cost of health care and drugs, and 'very high compared to income of the population, so often people can not buy the necessary drugs for the treatment prescribed. It 's really sad! Sometimes people die from diseases such trivial and 'really unacceptable, given that we are in 2011 in Africa!
immunization campaigns are also a problem. The vaccines are there, because 'the Government are provided by United Nations agencies, but lack the personnel or the means of trasporto per andare a vaccinare, su un territorio urbano, suburbano e rurale vastissimo, in cui la popolazione deve essere raggiunta nei villaggi o nelle periferie in cui vive (solo il 35% circa della popolazione abita in citta').
The following are the activity data 'health conducted in 2010 . The high volume of services provided speak for themselves and express the need for 'Health Service and the importance of our presence. The data include two special health campaigns ("Week of the health of children" in July and November 2010).

Punching Bag And Copd
Once again the
CESMA Gela organizing a wonderful show for the Schools of Enna, which will take place 'in Caltanissetta in the month of March next, which is an important project not only educational, but also can help many poor people in Zambia.
I am honored by the fact that the CESMA has again decided to offer the proceeds of the shows to my project in Zambia. Only in 2010, the Mayo-Mwana Project has received more than sixty thousand euro from the CESMA performances but also by other activities of the parish "Regina Pacis", all carried out with great dedication and deep love for the period 2009-2010. What we receive is used entirely for the activities' of the project. Last Buy, with part of the donations received, and 'an SUV that will replace' and unfortunately that 'destroyed in a very bad car accident during the "Week of the Child Health" last November.
Over the past two years, the Mayo- Mwana Project has undergone many changes and innovations, improving the quantity 'and quality' of service to the poor. For those unfamiliar with the project and those who do not know what 's new, here is a brief description of our programs:
- HEALTH PROGRAMME: a) surgery to Miengwe (in forest), Outpatient Lubuto-Kantolomba and Kaniki (slums of the suburbs), with the stations offices for vaccinations and monitoring of pregnant women, b) Health Centre "Andrea Lamantia" in the city 'of Ndola.
- NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM: For prophylaxis and treatment of childhood malnutrition in rural areas urban and suburban. The program also provides for the distribution of milk in selected mothers, seropositive for HIV (AIDS), who can not breast-feed, to avoid infection of the newborn.
- IGAS (INCOME GENERATING ACTIVITIES) Programs for self-development. a) micro-credit to individual households for the creation of small businesses (poultry houses, food shops, activities' farm etc) b) of farm Silangwa (Hen House, Garden, Cultivation of maize, pig farming, mill, shop for the sale of local products of the company).
- TRAINING PROGRAMMES : courses and workshops for community volunteers' and medical and paramedical personnel on topics of interest in social health (AIDS, malaria, sanitation, malnutrition, etc).
- SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM : a) Funding of school fees for poor deserving students, b) social centers, "Maria Mater Ecclesiae" in Silangwa and "Regina Pacis" in Ndola, activities for 'training and entertainment local population; c) Research Center "Freed Zambia 2001", with a library and computers available to the rural population, especially youth, to Silangwa. In the center is also offered after school for students who need to be helped in learning.
- FAMILY HOME in Ndola, for the reception of four orphaned children, which are guaranteed food, shelter, schooling, health care and above all loving care, and just as' right to be in a family setting.
- COLLABORATION WITH SOCIAL SERVICES AND SUPPORT UNIT OF THE VICTIMS OF POLICE NDOLA , especially with the program of prevention of child abuse.
I remind you that the Mayo- and Mwana Project 'managed by a local association that I founded, Call Twafwane Association. Our activities' which help directly and indirectly more than 25,000 Zambian families, are sponsored by Italian donors, especially in Sicily refer to the parish Maria Mater Ecclesiae Parish of Enna and "Regina Pacis" Gela . All donations are sent to the Association "Growing Together" Onlus di Verona , and that 'the charity for which they are a voluntary expatriate. Growing Together Onlus shall regularly and periodically to send the money in relation to the needs' of the project, at my request.
E ' clear that everything 'that we are doing in Zambia we are doing with the irreplaceable and indispensable help of those who support us from Italy. L 'tireless support of those who love us will allow us to' even assist orphans and vulnerable children, the sick and women who need care, people eager to grow and improve, will allow us' to provide a better future for many families and many young people as Italian ones, dreaming of a better life and equal opportunities'.
conclusion, I can only thank and infinitely heartfelt CESMA of Gela, impeccable and incredibly spectacular, and the Parish "Regina Pacis", which the Cesme is' certainly precious jewel. This flower could not be as valuable without the tireless and "volcanic" Father Angelo Strazzanti support, valuable and far-sighted leadership, teacher of life for young people who start to the future amid a thousand difficulties' and temptations, the promoter of the Christian values \u200b\u200bof love , brotherhood, solidarity ', sharing and respect for others, is in its territory and abroad.
E ', then, for me, great pleasure to thank the superintendency, school administrators, the faculty and staff of schools, students and their families and all those who have made possible the realization and success of projects CESMA .
With the hope that those who participated in the past involved again and that many still adhere to future initiatives, I wish CESMA, Father Angelo Strazzanti and schools all have a good job and a lot of serenity '.

Nell'ambito dei programmi per self-development, the Mayo-Mwana Project has recently achieved another goal. At the end of October 2010 and 'was completed for the pig ' s rearing of pigs and at the end of December came the first "tenants", one male and five females of the age 'of three months.

To construct the pig we have work to local people, who made everything by hand, from mud bricks with wooden doorways of the small cells in pigs. Want to see the early stages of construction of the pig? Open the post September 20, 2010 and you will find many interesting news and photos!
